ABOUT US

The IMP

The International Music Project is passionately devoted to creating significant musical and cultural opportunities for Italian and American students, conductors, and composers to rehearse and perform in acclaimed venues in Europe and America.

The music chosen for performance represents the highest quality of international repertoire written for chamber ensemble, orchestra, and wind ensemble. The IMP “Sojourner Tour, 2023” will take place July, 2023. There will be openings in our program for a maximum of 15 American brass and woodwind chamber players selected by audition to join the 16-day tour.

The week will involve a wide array of high-level musical and cultural experiences that will be unique and unforgettable. Experiences will include performing and rehearsing in first-class venues in woodwind and brass quintets, wind dectets, as well as in larger wind ensembles alongside Italian musicians at the Rossini Conservatory of Music in Pesaro, one of the largest and most reputable music schools in Italy.

The tour is open to all advanced students over 18 years of age as of July 1, 2023, who play flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon, trumpet, trombone or tuba. An application is required that must include a short performance video as well as one letter of recommendation.
